School Street School Staff permits are available to school staff whose primary workplace is within a School Street zone and where the school car park is located inside the zone.
These permits are digital, so there is no need to display a paper permit in the vehicle.
If you park in a Controlled Parking Zone you will also require a School Staff parking permit.
Permit details:
- Valid for one year. You must reapply on expiry.
- If your school has two sites, you can apply for a second exemption separately.
Required documents:
You will need to provide:
- Proof of employment: A formal letter (on official letterhead) confirming your name, position, employer, and primary workplace address.
- Proof of vehicle ownership: A V5 document, Motability agreement, car insurance document, or lease agreement.
Photos of documents are accepted if you don’t have access to a scanner.

- Once authorised your permit will be active (you will be notified by email).
