School Street Blue Badge permits are available to:
- A parent or carer applying on behalf of a pupil who attends a school in a School Street zone who is a Blue Badge holder.
- A parent or carer who is a Blue Badge holder (of a primary school pupil who attends a school in a School Street zone only).
These permits are digital, so there is no need to display a paper permit in the vehicle.
Permit details:
- Valid for one year. You must reapply on expiry.
- Each Blue Badge holder can register up to two vehicles for a School Street exemption.
Required documents:
You will need to provide:
- Proof of Blue Badge status: A copy of the Blue Badge (front and back).
- Proof of school attendance: A formal letter from the school (on official letterhead) including the pupil’s name, year group and a short statement explaining your reason for applying.
- Proof of vehicle ownership: A V5 document, Motability agreement, car insurance document, or lease agreement.
Photos of documents are accepted if you don’t have access to a scanner.
