London Borough of Islington Permit Terms & Conditions
London Borough of Islington - Permission to Park Terms & Conditions
A Permission to Park permit is intended for tradespeople who need to park in Islington to carry out building, construction or maintenance work.
The permit is available specifically to facilitate building, construction, demolition, repair or maintenance work, or other operations or works to premises or land adjacent to a parking place.
Before purchasing a parking session you will need to complete an application giving the reason you need the permit and the address you will be attending.
Your Permission to Park application will last for 1 year for a specific Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ). During that time you may purchase as many parking sessions as you need for different vehicles. You may choose durations of 1 day, 1 week or 1 month. If you need to park at a destination in a different Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) you will need a separate application for that destination.
You will need to enter the vehicle registration when purchasing a session. Please take care to enter the vehicle registration correctly and check that the details are correct before proceeding to payment.
Where to park
The permit will have a single Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) associated with it. All sessions purchased within the permit will be for the specific CPZ. The CPZ is determined by the address that you will be attending which is provided in the application.
The Permission to Park permit sessions allow a qualifying vehicle to park in the following types of on-street parking bay in the CPZ and during the time period for which the parking session was purchased:
- Resident permit holder only
- Permit holders only
- Business permit holders only
- Pay by phone only
- Shared use bay for permit holders and pay by phone
The permit does not allow parking in other types of bay such as disabled, doctor, or teacher bays, or on yellow lines.
Some bays have different restrictions at different times of the day so check the parking sign before you park.
The permit does not allow parking in resident, or resident/shared use bays that have been suspended by the police, TfL, or the council.
The permit does not allow parking on red routes, council housing estates or on private land.
You must park within the markings of a permitted bay.
A Penalty Charge Notice may be issued if a vehicle is parked in contravention of a restriction so please check signs and road markings when parking.
Parking sessions are not valid in vehicles without valid road tax or an MOT (if one is required).
A permit session does not reserve a space or guarantee a parking space will be available in any particular street but can be used to park in any permitted bay within the zone.
Advance bookings
Permission to Park permit sessions can be purchased up to two days prior to the date of the session.
Advance bookings can only be cancelled up to 4pm on the day before the session starts.
To cancel an advance booking you must contact RingGo through the RingGo web chat or by emailing support@Ringgo.co.uk by 4pm on the day before the session starts and provide the parking session details you wish to cancel.
Once a cancellation has been requested the parking session can no longer be used. If the cancellation request is received by RingGo by 4pm on the day before the parking session was due to start then the cancelled parking session will be refunded.
Refunds will not be considered if the cancellation is not requested by 4pm on the day before the parking session starts.
Parking sessions which are purchased to start immediately are not refundable as they will begin straight away.
Customers who pay for a Permission to Park session need to ensurethat all the details of that session are correct before confirmation and payment. Changes are not possible once payment has been taken and there will be no refunds made for human error.
