An event day resident parking permit allows you to park within the Glasgow parking zone stated on your permit during event days.
Once your permit application has been approved by GCC it will be valid for 12 months and it will enable you to create a permit parking session for 12 months.
All our permits are virtual, there is no requirement for you to display a physical permit in your vehicle.
Your permit will be valid from the date/time selected by you, when you activate your free permit (by clicking the Purchase button).
How to apply
Applying for a permit online is a quick and easy three-stage process:
- Register or login to your RingGo account
- Complete the permit application form
- Once your application has been approved, you can activate your permit(s) by clicking the Purchase button.

Before you begin
When applying for your permit, you need to attach the following:
Proof of your residency at the permit address, this must be in the form of:
- Your council tax bill, or
- Your energy bill (gas or electricity)
Proof of your vehicle registration at the permit address, this must be in the form of:
- Your vehicle registration certificate (VC5), or
- Your vehicle lease agreement
Please note, if you do not have either of the above, you will need to apply for an Event Day Visitor permit and create visitor parking sessions for your vehicle until you can supply the requested documents.
Company car: If the vehicle you use is registered to your employer you will need to provide a business/company headed letter from your place of employment. The letter should state your name, business application address and vehicle registration together with a copy of the V5C registered to the company.
